  • Let’s work on English first. What is the difference between “simple” and “simplistic”?

  • Berlitz the school.

  • You can get learning software at walmart, or best buy. They are cheap, but I doubt you can get any free without getting it illegaly.

  • don’t panic… are you “in love” with this hispanic girl… hmmm….

just tell her “no habla espanol”…. and tell her “i will teach you english for free”.

  • Rosetta Stone maybe??? Or just watch Telemundo. Just pretend like you’re in a Spanish speaking country. Go to your nearest Latino market or “Bodega” (Grocery store). See you just learned a new word. When I was learning Spanish, I put my cell phone in Spanish instead of English, and whenever I went to an ATM I conducted all of my transactions in Spanish… and if I hit the wrong the button it was like a form of trial and error until I got it. Hmmm, you could also buy some Spanish cook books, so you can learn the basics like the basic terms of fruits/vegatables and meats (carnes). It’s not as hard as you think! And remember just like any other language, Spanish has so many slangs and often what they teach you in books is not how people really speak. Also you know what you call a 1-800 number and its asks you if you would like to hear english or spanish “press 1 or 2…” just always hit the Spanish speaking operator, because that’s what will happen when you go to a Spanish speaking country, there might not be any option to hear English. So that’s the best advice I can give you! Good Luck!

  • get a low-paying part-time job. chances are your co-workers will all be speaking spanish and you’ll pick it up in no time. i’m not trying to be crude, seriously. try fast food, janitorial, housekeeping, landscaping, farm work.
