It makes you bilingual. Spanish is one of the easiest languages to learn so it does not make you smart. I’ve known some real dumbos who are bilingual. I used to speak Spanish fluently but if you don’t use it, you lose it.
You sound seriously challenged in the self respect department. People will like you better if you stop worrying about it and just live your life. Take a risk. Learn Spanish and see what happens.
First of all better job opportunities. Latinos will be impressed and well you’ll have the gift of knowledge.
