What is the best way to refresh one’s knowledge of the spanish language?
Tygress122 asked:
I had 4 years of spanish in high school/college, and did very well. However, other than short burst of basic conversation snippets, I have not spoken/read/wrote it in almost 7 years now. I would like to refresh my knowledge (without spending a boatload of money) but I also want to be efficient and accurate in my studies. Does anyone have any suggestions?

just find a spanish book or find someone who can tutor you and study and learn
watch spanish TV
I know it sounds crazy but I have heard English speaking people say they find it a lot easier to learn and understand Spanish by watching T.V. Some people like to watch “novelas” or soup operas but I recommend watching constructive channels. I personally don’t think it’s the best idea to watch novelas but that’s definitely your decision.
But, if you did very well in school and your Spanish needs just a little “soaking” then T.V. it’s a good option. You can also instead of buying books borrow them from the library. Try conversing with Spanish speakers and have them correct you if you wrong or not sure about something. Other than that I’m not exactly sure what else you can do, unless you want to take a class at a local YMCA or college.

Go to a Spanish book store, you can also get tapes, all of your needs on Speaking, Reading, and Writing on Spanish!
The best thing to do is to find a Spanish-speaking boyfriend or girlfriend. Or simply a friend.
Another thing you can do is to watch Spanish-language TV with SUBTITLES!
One more thing you can do is to volunteer for an organization that helps immigrants from Latin America. They can teach you Spanish, you can teach them English.
Move to Miami, or, even better, to Hialeah
Chat in Spanish.
