Is there an age appropriate Spanish language program for High Schoolers learning Spanish?

spanish language
o asked:

A recurring show which has been approved by school districts and helps Spanish students in High School develop an ear for the language but not a “See Spot run” sort of program.. A program that is entertaining, has a real story line but not objectionable? Do you know of such a show?
All Spanish.. Immersion..

What does the Spanish language/culture have to do with illegal immigration?

spanish language
oh my various gods! asked:

Is it really about the illegality of immigration that boils white americans’ blood, or is it racism?

When I see people complaining, for instance about people speaking Spanish or public things being printed/recorded in Spanish as well as English, or cultural aspects of Latin America in general, I can only suspect racism.

Most hispanics DO learn english, and even the ones that don’t as well, their children certainly do. The same is true of any first/second generation immigrant, be it Chinese, Ethiopian, whatever.

America is a melting pot of culture, but no one seems to have any beefs with other cultures speaking their parent languages amongst themselves, having distinct ethnic neighborhoods, or GOD FORBID having a shred of pride for their ethnic heritage, such as Irish celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.

The US Census predicts that by 2050, 24% of americans will be of hispanic ethnic background.
Even supposing it were possible or desireble to deport all ILLEGAL hispanic immigrants, the country would still be made up of a vast amount of people who speak spanish. The capitalist system responds to markets. If a huge market speaks spanish, they will continue to accomodate those markets.

So my question is, when all this is over, will you still be making complaints about legal hispanics and their descendents preserving their culture? Will you continue to spit on them for waving their Mexican flags with pride, along with American flags (as many now do)?
madjer21… you seem to have missed my point that the reason you press 1 for english is for capitalist reasons, not their refusal to assimilate. if you were to immigrate to japan or somewhere and companies who hire marketing consultants see that english immigrants command a huge piece of their pie, thus deciding willing to advertise in english, would you refuse to take advantage of it? i think not.

it’s about money, honey.

How difficult is the AP Spanish Language exam?

spanish language
piecrumz asked:

Yes, I know . . . it’s a little late. But anyhow, I’m taking the AP Spanish Language exam tomorrow, and I’m kind of freaking out because I don’t feel like I’ve been prepared enough in class (although I’ve been studying like crazy on my own).

So, for people that have taken this exam in particular (or are in the same boat that I’m in right now):

How difficult is this exam?
How much is it curved?
Any last minute helpful hints or tips or insights?

Thanks for the help!
