How do I learn the basics in Spanish quick and easy?

i love the language and my Fiancè’s Mexican but i cant speak Spanish!?!?!?!
i bought so many CDs and books, but it just seems too hard and too much at once. I’m wanting to learn the basics before i go and meet his family, since i haven’t yet. i mean them living in the states and me here in Germany, thats not easy. but yeah… i want to show that i was willing to try and learn there language. i know a few things that my **** told me but its only… hi, bye, good morning, good evening, good night…. it doesn’t seem like enough… someone please help!!!!
Just want to let other know, i dont have the choice to take spanish classes here in germany. i can in my privat time but its pricey here =(
