Why Learn Spanish
I want to learn to speak fluent Spanish. What software do you recommend?
I learned basic phrases, words and simple sentences when I studied it in school a few years ago, which I still remember, but I want to learn on my own at home to speak it FLUENTLY. I want to find the best and easiest to learn software (except for really expensive software like Rosetta Stone), something like up to 50.00, or around that, please tell me the best software that I can buy to learn Spanish in the most easy and effective way. I would really appreciate your help.

Active Spanish lessons with passive Japanese learning?
Hello, hello
I am a high school student on summer vacation, who happens to love learning new languages. The two languages I know most are Spanish and Japanese.
I have been studying Spanish longer and know more Spanish people (Though I am not near any hispanic populations at the moment where I am visiting) but I have a very high interest in japanese because of my goals to study and work there.
Would it be a good idea to continue learning spanish through computer programs (I have a few) while passively picking up japanese through the anime I watch and switching my video game setting to a Japanese language setting (there is no spanish setting)
Is it ok to actively learn one language, while passively being exposed to another?
I don’t have the luxury to take formal lessons

What are your favorite lyrics from a Spanish language song?
For me, I love all of Bebe’s lyrics, but I think “Siempre me quedará” is the best: http://www.letrascanciones.org/bebe/pa-fuera-telaranas/siempre-me-quedara.php
Closely followed by “Tu silencio”: http://www.letrascanciones.org/bebe/pa-fuera-telaranas/tu-silencio.php
I’d translate it, but I wouldn’t do it justice. My favorite line (in English) would be: “But silence is the most eloquent form of lying.” Awesome!!
I also think Ska-P have great lyrics. The ones stuck in my head right now are from “Villancico” (some vulgar words, just a warning): http://www.letrascanciones.org/ska-p/eurosis/villancico.php
Sorry to limit it to Spanish, but that’s the only language I speak proficiently enough to choose a best answer (aside from English), and I wouldn’t want to make you translate it because sometimes it just doesn’t sound nearly as good in English.
Also, give us a link or type them out so we can all enjoy!! ![]()
(PS–Aside from the vulgar word they use, the Ska-P lyrics might be offensive to some people generally, enjoy at your own risk!)
