asked:

Most Popular Spanish Language Tips-Learning The Present Subjunctive

The Present Subjunctive and the Future Tense (how to tell them apart)

Students often require extensive practice of The Present Subjunctive in order to distinguish the way it differs from the Future Tense in Spanish, since both seem to be used to describe an action in the future. This issue usually comes up in the classroom just when you thought everyone had a grip on the subject; however, in order to master this area of Spanish Language Grammar, we must also introduce aspects of the culture and the ways Grammar and Culture overlap.

The most successful approach I have used in the classroom is to compare The Present Subjunctive and The Future tense in Spanish is not necessarily to explain Grammar over and over again, but to write several sentences on the whiteboard and guide the class into deep analysis of each one. I encourage students to share their perception regarding the differences they find in each sentence.

After continuous analysis of sentences, the students realize that The Present Subjunctive Mood refers to the situation that is yet to be experienced, and they can tell The Future Tense is what we have already planned to do when we finally experience the event.

The outcome of implementing this teaching technique is amazing!. Students come up with explanations of their own and everyone is a winner. When students were encouraged to work as a team, everyone had the opportunity to participate in the learning process, including those who rarely participated in class.

Once I realize students require additional practice on how to learn the differences between The Present Subjunctive and the Future Tense in Spanish, I write two examples on the board using two different connectors that triggerThe Subjunctive Mood, as a way to get the class to gradually memorize them as they practiced.

-I will buy a house when I win the lottery-

-Yo voy a comprar una casa cuando me saque la lotería-

Learn Spanish Grammer

asked:

If you are reading this, you have probably decided to learn Spanish or are seriously considering it. One of the most important things to remember as you embark upon your learning voyage is that it takes hard work and determination. Many people look for shortcuts or magic solutions that promise instant results or painless, effortless learning, but if your goal is to achieve fluency in the shortest time possible, then there’s a certain progression of steps you need to follow.

Start from the Very Beginning

One of the biggest temptations for a new Spanish student is the desire to jump straight into conversation. Contrary to popular belief, not even babies do that! Studies show that long before they learn to form their first sentences, babies are already learning to recognize nouns and verbs and grammatical structures. Your first step in learning Spanish then is to study the grammar. It may seem as appealing as walking across broken glass, but if you put in the time at the beginning to do this, then it will save you a lot of time down the road and give you the potential to become truly fluent in Spanish.

Best Spanish Learning Program

asked:

Learning the Spanish Language is Easier than You Think

If you can read and understand this simple article, then you already know some basic Spanish, thanks to the power of cognates. By taking advantage of a number of tricks, just like the one mentioned above, you will speed up the process of learning the Spanish language by leaps and bounds.

First, let’s look at how cognates can help you learn Spanish. Cognates are words and phrases that are similar and have the same meanings in different languages. For example, take the first sentence of this article again. Look for the words that are similar to these Spanish words: “simple, artículo, básico.” See? You already speak some of the language! To find some lists of cognates, check out a Spanish site on the Internet or visit your local bookstore’s reference section.

Learning Spanish For Kids

asked:

In learning new languages, memorization always is the main ingredient in mastering words and constructing an entire sentence. There may be a lot of drawbacks how to flawlessly do this especially if you’re new to learning foreign languages. Fortunately, for eager beavers, there are techniques that you can use which can benefit you and your time while you learn the language.

A popular learning language technique which also complements your memorization skills is called the Linkword technique. In enhancing your memory, creativity and imagination are two big factors that lead to successful memorization. This is also true and helpful in learning Spanish language and other foreign languages as well. The rule is not to limit your imagination to anything too reserve, normal and formal. It has been proven that the human brain works like a fire truck. Whenever there is a fire, it responds quickly by alerting its entire system (and the neighborhood) using the siren.

The same thing works with Linkword method. Our brain responds to something more than the ordinary. So, the funnier and weirder a situation is, the quicker our brain responds to absorbing it. An example would be the word prize in English and premio in Spanish.

Let’s take a look at the next sentence as an example. Try to imagine a car winning a sack race. The car receives a premium sack trophy as its prize. It can never get anymore easier than that. When you learn to accustom yourself with Linkword system, learning Spanish and other languages would become a treat instead of a chore.

To master more Spanish words, check on this link http://learn-spanish-program.com and learn how easy it is to use.

Learn Spanish Software Reviews

asked:

Its very common to hear Spanish speaking folks from South America use the word vos, meaning you instead of t or usted, the most known uses for such a word. The word vos, which is commonly used in the southern most countries such as Argentina, Chile and Uruguay date back to the Spanish conquest a few centuries back, and its a direct derivative from the word vosotros which is a trademark from the Castellano (the actual name for the Spanish language); vosotros is used to refer to them, or you (plural) in either past, present or future tense.

It was recorded during the 17th century that some catholic priests that traveled to South America started using the shortened-version of the word vosotros, so that the natives could understand them better and so that they could even pronounce the word. Its not entirely clear yet how this modified version was transferred and incorporated into the other southern provinces. We can only assume that literature had something to do with it and even changes in command from the Spanish Oligarchy from one point to another facilitated this wide-spread of the term.

Not very long after that, other countries in Central America adopted such term, which interestingly enough, didnt make its way to the northern part of the continent (Mexico, etc.) or the Caribbean for that matter. In countries such as Guatemala, the adjective became popular through some publications used by elementary schools from Argentinean editorials in the early part of the twentieth century, making it adaptable to the next generation of students.

Learn Spanish Online Audio

Now, for example, the cable gives us the ability to watch programs from as far away as Thailand and India, and on the radio we can hear the different languages of the world. Not to mention the best invention for many of the last centuries, the Internet. This tool gives us the opportunity to experience different cultures, landscapes, and histories of countries located in any city in the world.

So it’s very easy to get in touch with the news that happen around us, and also communicate interactively with people anywhere in the world. All this has shown us a lot of diversity in different ways, and one of the most important aspects is: The Language. There are many different languages spoken in the world and is also common to find countries in which within the same country speak several languages. This happens in countries like Paraguay, where he speaks his native language, “the Guarani” and where the Spanish language also prevails.

Best Spanish Learning Software

It is a well known fact that an adult’s capacity for learning reduces with age, hence the lack of the term ‘adults’ in the saying ‘kids are like sponges’, but that doesn’t mean to say that it is impossible or difficult to learn a new language, in fact it’s quite the opposite.

But, why learn Spanish?

Learning Spanish as a Second Language.

The figures tell us that Learning Spanish would be the most sensible option when it comes to choosing a language to learn; it is the second most widely spoken language in the world after English with over half a billion speakers worldwide.

It is the primary language in more than 20 countries and a second language in many more including the US, home to over 40 million Spanish speakers which makes the US the fifth largest population of Spanish speakers in the world, with an estimated 17 million of those unable to communicate in English or at least not communicate very well!

The academic world is split as to the best way a language should be learned, many old school academics still believe that the student should learn the correct structure and grammar relating to a language before moving on to the practical implementation therefore protecting a language’s integrity. These purists however, are few and far between, with the vast majority of language scholars now believing that learning how to communicate through verbal interaction speeds up and enhances the understanding of any language let alone Spanish.

Learning Spanish For Kids
